Australian Made hardwood furniture handcrafted in Sydney. The manufacturers of this range of furniture individually handcraft it from a blend of high quality timbers, ultimately resulting in a fresh, modern approach to hardwood timber furniture.

They make hardwood tables, chairs, dining sets, bed frames, bedside tables, tallboys, dressing tables, bedroom suites, tv units, entertainment units, buffets, sideboards, kitchen dressers, coffee tables, lamp tables, hall tables, consoles, study desks, home offices, wardrobes, and kitchens, etc.

The timber has been carefully sourced from sustainable and managed forests making each piece unique in its own character. Only sustainable Australian forest products such as Tasmanian oak, Tasmanian Blackwood, spotted gum, Blackbutt and imported timbers like American white oak, European oak, European beech and American walnut and recycled hardwood are used. All timbers are kiln dried to ensure a minimal movement.

All furniture is made by their team of expert tradesmen who have more than 50 years combined experience supervised by a third generation cabinet maker.

All the furniture is prepared by 320 grit sandings which means it is all sanded 6 or 7 times by different grits of sand paper.

There are choices of finishes such as lacquer, Danish oil, non toxic water based lacquer and polyurethane. These products give you a smooth, superb and carefree finish.

All the ranges use traditional and modern construction techniques to create this aesthetically innovative design. All doors use Blum soft close hinges to ensure the very highest quality. All drawers have double extension ball bearing metal runners.

Furniture is custom made to satisfy any special needs or requirements.

All products have a 10 years structural warranty.

Water based lacquer finish is healthier and safer

Formaldehyde Free: Safer for the person applying. Zero formaldehyde emissions in rooms in which coated articles are installed or used results in improved internal air quality.

Phthalate Free: Ideal for children's toys. There are concerns regarding the potential adverse health effects of phthalates, particularly reproductive and developmental health effects. In the European Community (EC) three common phthalates are now subject to a near total ban in all toys and childcare articles.

Isocyanate Free: No cumbersome air assisted face masks or other respiratory personal protective equipment (provided it is applied in a compliant spray booth).

Alkylphenol Ethoxylate (APE) Free: APEs have been banned in many European countries. APEs are very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long-term adverse effects to the aquatic environment. APEs are relatively slow to biodegrade and they breakdown to form toxic intermediates that are generally more toxic than the original compounds. Research has confirmed in a number of animal studies that APEs are oestrogenic (i.e. mimic the activity of female sex hormones).

NMP Free: NMP has been identified a reproductive toxicant, first by California in 2001 and then by the European Commission in 2003. NMP is rapidly absorbed through the skin and is irritating to eyes and skin.

Danish oil is another option

What is Danish Oil?

Top quality Danish Oil is made to be absorbed into wood, protecting, nourishing and ‘feeding’ the wood from the inside. It is easy to apply, has an attractive ‘natural’ low sheen finish and excellent long-term protective properties.

Danish Oil has the following benefits:-

* It is food and toy safe when dry.

* It gives an attractive natural low sheen finish.

* It has a low odour when drying, and none when dry.

* It is specially formulated to penetrate deep into all types of timber, nourishing and protecting.

* It does not leave a surface film or varnish, and will not chip, flake, crack or peel.

* It is dirt resistant and will resist stains from wine, beer, coffee, tea, coca-cola, orange juice and food.

* It is naturally water resistant, yet is microporous to water vapour allowing the wood to ‘breathe’

Where to use

Danish Oil can be used on almost any wooden surface, including interior and exterior furniture, doors, window frames, cladding, hardwood floors, skirting boards, gates, children’s play areas, kitchen worktops, turned wood, musical instruments and food preparation areas etc.

Danish Oil is naturally water, food and alcohol resistant. It is safe for food contact when dry and can be used for wooden bowls, chopping boards and butchers blocks. It is certified EN71 toy safe.

Danish Oil is simple to use and easy to maintain. Re-application of one or two thin coats every year will keep wood looking naturally ‘fresh’. Damaged or scratched areas can easily be maintained by reapplication of danish Oil.

Additional charge applicable for danish oil finish.

Absolutely beautiful piece of furniture which will definitely enhance your living room or wherever you choose to place it.
