Ordering & Payment
How do I place an order?
Order online any time at chocolatewood.com.au, call us on 02 9949 9892, or visit our Sydney showroom in Manly Vale. For custom-made furniture, contact us first so we can confirm dimensions, timber and finish before you pay.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Shopify, PayPal, and bank transfer.
Can I buy now and pick up later?
Yes — we can hold paid items for up to 6 months.
Delivery
Do you deliver Australia-wide?
Yes — we deliver across the Sydney metro area with our own team, and Australia-wide via furniture freight partners.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is quoted based on your postcode and the size of your order. Add your items to cart and enter your postcode for an estimate, or call us for a quote.
How long does delivery take?
- In-stock items: 5–10 business days for Sydney metro, 2 weeks for interstate.
- Custom-made furniture: Approximately 4 weeks to build, plus delivery time.
Will you bring the furniture inside?
We offer two service levels:
- Ground-floor only
- Room of choice
A stairs surcharge applies subject to the number of flights — please contact us for costing. We can also offer rubbish removal and white glove service, which would incur additional cost.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes — free pickup is available from our Manly Vale showroom, or from our trading partners' warehouse subject to customer convenience. We'll contact you when your order is ready. Please bring help for heavy items — our team can assist with loading but you're responsible for securing the load.
Custom Made Furniture
How does custom ordering work?
Tell us what you need — dimensions, timber, finish and any features like soft-close drawers. We'll confirm a price and timeline, and once you approve, our Australian makers get to work. Typical lead time is four weeks.
Can I see timber and finish samples?
Yes — visit our Manly Vale showroom to see Tasmanian oak, Victorian ash, blackwood and our range of finishes in person. We are also happy to post timber samples to our interstate customers at no cost.
Can custom orders be returned?
Custom-made pieces are built specifically for you, so they can't be returned for change of mind. They're covered by our 12-month manufacturer's warranty against faults. We'll confirm every detail with you in writing before building begins.
Products & Care
Is your furniture really solid timber?
Yes. Our hardwood ranges use solid timber on all visible surfaces — Tasmanian oak, Victorian ash, messmate, recycled elm and more — with solid pine drawer boxes and quality lining-board backs on storage pieces.
How do I care for solid timber furniture?
Dust with a soft, dry cloth, wipe spills promptly, keep pieces out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources, and use coasters and placemats. See our full Timber Care Guide for details.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes — all furniture carries a 12-month manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing faults. See our Returns & Warranty page for what's covered.
