WHAT WE COLLECT

We only collect information we need to sell and deliver furniture to you:

- Name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number
- Order and payment confirmation details
- Account details if you create an account with us
- Correspondence you send us by email, phone or through our website
- Basic website usage information such as pages visited and device or browser type

We do not collect sensitive information such as health, racial, political or religious information.

PAYMENT DETAILS

We do not see or store your full credit card number. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment providers, who handle card details under their own security standards.

WHY WE COLLECT IT

We use your information to:

- Process your order and take payment
- Arrange and coordinate delivery
- Contact you about your order, a return or a warranty claim
- Answer your enquiries

- Our delivery contractors and freight carriers, so your furniture can be delivered
- Our suppliers and trading partners, where they ship or hold your item
- Shopify, which hosts our online store
- Payment processors
- Professional advisers, or where the law requires us to disclose information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

MARKETING

If you have opted in to marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us. We will action it promptly.

COOKIES

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

OVERSEAS STORAGE

Our website is hosted by Shopify, and some of our service providers store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

SECURITY AND RETENTION

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, and then destroy or de-identify it.

ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email sales@chocolatewood.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity first.

COMPLAINTS
